How do I post a listing?

After signing in, go to your Dashboard and select "Create Listing". Add a title, description, photos, price, and your location. Review your listing and publish it. Your listing will be visible to other users in your area immediately.

Buying

How do I contact a seller?

On any listing, use the "Message Seller" button to send a direct message through our secure messaging system. Your email address and phone number are never shared with the other party.

How do I make an offer?

Contact the seller through the listing page and include your offer in the message. All negotiations happen through our messaging system. Once you and the seller agree on a price, you can arrange the details of the transaction.

What are some safe meetup tips?

Always meet in a public, well-lit location. Bring a friend if possible. Inspect the item before paying. Use cash or a secure payment method. Never share personal financial information. Visit our Safety Tips page for more guidance.

Selling

How do I create a great listing?

Use clear, well-lit photos from multiple angles. Write an honest, detailed description including the condition, dimensions, and any flaws. Set a fair price by researching similar items. Choose the correct category so buyers can find your listing easily.

How do I manage my listings?

Go to your Dashboard to view all your active, sold, and expired listings. From there you can edit details, update pricing, mark items as sold, renew expired listings, or delete listings you no longer need.

Any tips for pricing my items?

Research similar items on e-Cities and other platforms to gauge market value. Consider the item's condition, age, and demand. Pricing slightly below market value can help items sell faster. Be prepared for buyers to negotiate.

Account & Safety

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in page, select "Forgot password?" and enter your email address. You will receive a password reset link. Follow the link to create a new password. Reset links expire after 1 hour for security.

How do I report an issue?

If you encounter a suspicious listing, scam, or policy violation, use the "Report" button on the listing or user profile. You can also contact our support team at support@e-cities.com. We review all reports promptly.

How do I block a user?

In a conversation, open the menu and select "Block User". Blocked users cannot message you or see your listings. You can manage your blocked users list from your account settings.

Payments & Shipping

How do payments work?

e-Cities is primarily a local classifieds marketplace where buyers and sellers arrange payment directly. Cash is the most common method for in-person transactions. For added safety, meet in public and count cash before handing over items.

Are there shipping options?

Shipping arrangements are made between buyer and seller. Some sellers offer to ship items at the buyer's expense. Always discuss shipping details, costs, and tracking before completing a transaction. We recommend using tracked and insured shipping for valuable items.

What if I have a dispute?

If you have a dispute with another user, first try to resolve it through our messaging system. If you cannot reach a resolution, contact our support team at support@e-cities.com with details of the issue, and we will help mediate.
